Senior Accountant, Holdings

As a Senior Accountant, you’d be joining a diverse group of hyper-talented professionals with global finance and accounting expertise that’s supported by an incredibly strong executive team. This position reports directly to the company’s Director of Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidation & Reporting (~50-70%)
    • Assist with the monthly company-wide consolidation of a diverse corporate holding company.
    • Assist with the preparation of internal financial reporting for Board of Directors, senior management, and business units.
    • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and accompanying footnotes on Form 10-Q & 10-K for filing with the SEC, including XBRL requirements
    • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly earnings release.
    • Assist with review of various presentations to Board of Directors, senior management, external parties, and shareholders.
  • Additional Tasks (~20-30%)
    • Assist with preparation of business unit financial reports for senior management.
    • Assist with analysis of business unit financial performance, provide explanations for variances, and performing desk reviews of account reconciliations.
    • Assist with special, infrastructure development, and financial transformation projects.
    • Preparation of census reports to various federal agencies.
  • General Responsibilities (~5-10%)
    • Communicate with finance & accounting professionals at the company’s business units.
    • Work closely with other corporate office departments (tax, treasury, human resources, etc).
    • Work closely with internal & external auditors.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3+ years of public and/or corporate accounting experience.
  • BA/BS in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA license and/or progress toward the certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, experience presenting analyses to management, and ability to drive key initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Big Four Public Accounting Experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially in the areas of SEC reporting and financial transformation.
  • Experience in a Technology, Media, or Real Estate environment preferred.
  • Desire and passion for learning, professional growth, and development.
