Manager, US & Intl Tax
Our client’s in-house tax team knows all things corporate tax. Made up of smart, perceptive individuals with a flair for international, domestic, and sales & use tax; the knowledge and expertise of this group runs deep. You have more than a few years of experience in this field and extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to technology, real estate, or telecommunications companies. While our client doesn’t give its employees individual tax advice, you make it easy for executives to get what they need to make good tax decisions. You find ways to work smarter by streamlining and automating tax processes & systems and find ways to be both innovative and compliant.

As the Manager for US & International Tax, you’d be joining a diverse group of hyper-talented professionals with global data center and real estate expertise that’s supported by an incredibly strong investor group. This position reports directly to the company’s VP of Global Tax and also partners with G&A and core business operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of the group’s US tax provision, in cooperation with external service providers.
- Support the preparation of the local tax provision for the group’s substantial subsidiaries in Europe, the Americas, and Asia; working closely with the international accounting team.
- Spearhead the US federal & state tax compliance process while guiding external service providers; option to expand to international jurisdictions as well.
- Oversee domestic & international property tax filing as well as other business tax reporting processes.
- Work with the Tax Director and outside counsels on the interpretation and implementation of US Internal Revenue Code changes.
- Interaction with statutory auditors regarding the above.
- Initiate the group’s tax provision & compliance IT automation workflows.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant public and/or corporate tax experience.
- 2+ years of managerial responsibilities.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA license.
- Strong exposure to ASC 740 with the versatility to develop outside of these related functions as well.
Preferred qualifications:
- Big Four Public Accounting Background is a plus.
- Familiarity with US (Section 482) & OECD Transfer Pricing guidelines.
- Experience in a Data Center, Construction, and/or Real Estate environment is a plus.
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, diverse, and fast-paced environment.
